What was the date on the old filter? It's a good place to store information which may or may not make you feel guilty, retrospective or whatever when you take the sump off next.
I also throw a few pound coins in there in case of emergency. Still have disc and master cylinder cluttering up my shelf Adam. Cheers Min |

Reading thro the Hammerite smooth works ok but I always use the brush on the spray needs to be above 15 degrees and you have to shake it for eeeever otherwise yeah it does come out thin. I also found Wilko's own metal paint pretty good . For cylinders the Halfords hi temp works as do the Frosts products.
I keep my old 76 V1000 ok with these, touch up the frame as and when to keep any rust at bay and keep it useable. Great to see one being revived to run

Book says change filter every fifth oil change. I think. Yep 18 Allen screws, 14 around the edge and 4 in the middle. Make sure you can undo yours! |

Maybe Barry, the usual time + cash equation will come into play at some point.
It was not long after my daughter was born and she's 6 now, so a while back! Yes, we need to convene Min, you're welcome up here one day.

Your bike won't have chrome bores, so one less thing to worry about.
