I keep having an inexplicable yearning for a Scott - possibly one reason I bought its younger (and cheaper) relative the Arrow.......
It's the yowl that gets you. Incidentally, it's amazing how many Guzzi owners also have an old Brit around the place. |

When it gets yowling really well that's usually the sign that somethings about to go bang!

My GT750 kettle had a glorious yowl, usually accompanied by a “trace “of smoke

The Arrow has now gone to an appreciative new owner - reliving his mis-spent youth.....

Kind of fancied a Scott but they sound chock full of weirdness - whats all that business with the outboard big ends?Get my two stroke kicks and relive the youth that I failed to mispend sufficiently with an H1 Kawa these days - running on Allspeeds so plays a certain song.
The Leader is quite an attractive machine with the leg shields and two tone paint. There's someone over on the Bantam forum running a Bantam spring frame with an RG500 bottom end with Ariel tops on. There's perverse for you.

Came off a Leader on the BSA test track as a pillion.
The left hander by the main gate of the ground. I ended up on the grass fortunately. |

Scotts are just misunderstood. Most of their problems stem from heavy handed home mechanics. But I understand the Kwacker, nice That reminds me, there was a chap on one on the Bristol Distinguished Gentlemens Ride. Heroic or what? crawling through Bristol with the middle carb pouring petrol over the engine.

I did the DGR last year in Cambridge last year on mine, and with my younger daughter on the back. Got a bit sniffy (the bike that is) but made it around OK. Also tried racing it on the Kings Lynn speedway track a couple of years back at the Dirtquake event. We definitely weren't a winning combination out there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yPypC_aPSQ
