Nowt wrong with magdynos. Much better made than later Lucas stuff.

Is that a 3 brush dynamo? I had one on my Sunbeam and it was - interesting - to get working as Uncle Joe intended.

May ride this old thing this year. I've had her for nearly 30 years and recently splashed out on a pair of new handlebar grips which, I suppose is a form of restoration.

Nice. I have never ridden a hard tail, (other than my V7 ii which sometimes does a good impression I imagine! ) does it not shake your fillings on our potholed ruins that pass for the public highway these days?

Curious that in the car boot photo there is no Quality Street tin of bits. I always get one of those with a basket case

The one I had parted company somewhere along the magneto shaft, so the first part turned but the points didn't. In those days I was able to get an exchange unit. Though it had a different cam arrangement. Face instead of ring.
