My bike is a LM1, and as you all know it has two seals per leg. Perhaps all Guzzi's have two seals per leg but i know not.

I will soon be fitting the seals and not wanting to ruin the job by bashing them up in my efforts to insert them into the fork slider, I wondered if anyone here had any sure fire tips for fitting them into their correct positions without mishap.

Anyone ?

Put one of the old seals over the top to protect the new as you press home.

Oil them up, use the 30 mm socket for the fork top bolts and a mallet to drive them home.

A big socket, yes that would do it. The idea of putting one of the old seals on top naturally occurred to me after I had thrown them out !
