Read an interesting article written by Bikesure Insurance today in which they offer information on the requirement for a Green Card from January 1st 2021 as well as, potentially, an International licence. The latter appears to be different for different countries, their example being that travelling to Spain through France would require two different licences if the EU decides to be awkward. 
More hoops to be jumped through when we finally leave the EU

Yes there are IDP requirements and Spain (somewhere else as well) is different.
My IDP was about a fiver from the post office and lasts 3 years I think.
When I first started riding abroad 100 years ago , we needed IDP and green card and bail bond for Spain

It is going to be difficult it appears the EU wants Fishing rights and will cut their nose to spite their faces

Me too, in the early 1980's...

If it returns to that, sure won't bother me.

Just part of the romance of travel (insert irony smily here).

But seriously, I'd also welcome having to have a different pocket for all the shrapnel of the dozen countries I'd passed through...

What could be more fun than sorting it all out, on one's return.

Sort of like holiday photos, but not nearly as dull.

I first rode to europe in 1967 on my venom , 2500 miles in a fortnight's leave.
As you say , French francs   swiss francs, German Mark's, Austrian Mark's, Lichtenstein ?? , Italian lira , Belgian florins .
Strewth. Border guards with guns and poles across the road , exciting he.

I've driven and ridden in Spain just a few years back, rental cars and Bike, didn't need anything other than Passport and UK Driving Licence Card.

Got an IDP for a trip to Norway a while ago, no real hassle or expense.

 I'll have Portuguese Citizenship in a month or two anyway.

In the early 60's I used to go abroad to play footie at Easter time on a proper Ferry.

One year there was a Smallpox scare and we had to get vaccinated and a certification card/book or they would refuse us entry we were told, all at our own expense.
When we got there the cluckers never even looked at it.
