Hi All, as a 180 Jota owner for the last 20 years, I always hankered after a Mk1 Le Mans from my late teens. Found one and currently doing a resto. Nigel Billingsley has done a complete rebuild of the motor and gearbox which looks fabulous, though he says it was in pretty good shape which helps. Everything else is either at the platers, painters or powder coaters so the stitch back together is imminent...will no doubt need the wealth of advice that resides here as we go Smile

Welcome! Be sure, please, to take lots of 'in progress' shots, and share. We like those!

Thanks chaps - here's the before and after with the motor - we stripped the bike at the beginning of November and I left it with Nigel Billingsley for a full strip down, check and rebuild. Nigel said it was in good shape for a 41 year old engine with 45k on the clock, just needed guides, followers, clutch plates, two of the gears needed sorting, thorough vapour blast, clean up, stainless bolt kit and rebuild. Crank, bores, pistons, little ends and rings were all perfect so well chuffed so far...
