This year I have signed up to the Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride in Bristol on 30th September. The plan is to do it on the 1937 Model S as long as it can make it the 40 miles to the start point. My biggest challenge is getting my Gmail account going and then putting some gen on my DGR page: Way beyond me so far

Is anyone else here planning to do one of these worthwhile rides?

Riding in Oxford, provided that I am not ill, which ruled me out last year ):

North Yorkshire for me on the Griso. My vanity* means I'm more bothered about suitable attire than the bike which I know will be fine.

* entirely misplaced.

I'm thinking about registering for the ride this year. Anybody from East Midlands going to either Peterborough, Nottingham or Lincoln?

You don't have to fundraise as far as I've always been aware. Buy a lapel badge or similar give em what you want. Central London want you to raise £50 minimum so I'm heading to West London ( Brooklands) this year.

What a crap website. Entered all the details to register, and nothing. Can't get past England to select ride.
Brooklands is so close.
Brian.

Better 5 minutes late in this world than years early in the next.

I didn't have any trouble registering for the Chester ride and I am a complete numpty when it comes to these things ( and many othersConfused) so there must be a problem with the site.

No, that's the page I was on. Click on register and it goes back to the same page again.

I tried on my tablet and it is still the same.
They seem a bit fussy on what bike you turn up on..... do you think my Breva 750 is suitable?

I hope and think so as I am planning to go on my 2015 V7 Stone....There is plenty of modern Triumph metal in the picture pages of the website after all.

I've just registered again ( brooklands) a moment ago using that link and a different email. No one actually checks on the day anyhow. So Brian if you want to be my gentlemanly  twin you're more than welcome.
