I had such bad experiences with Guzzi dealerships in Germany that I now can't trust those in the UK ;)
However, I have stopped thinking they are "all the same" when I bought my BMW bike. Not only wonderfully serious and efficient, but I got the quality call some time later asking whether everything was fine or there was any problem at all. Quite impressive.
Then I got a flat tyre in the Cotswolds with bike brought to BMW Oxford. Again, excellent service and new tyre at an excellent price (no attempt at all to fleece me because bike is their "hostage" as in the past), they gave me the bike cleaned and everything quite hunky dory.

Guess the brand of my new (used) car...

Here's a tragedy, MI in Seattle closing. Maybe the best dealer in the US. Home of "Guzziology."

It is with great regret to inform you that Moto International will be closing our doors permanently. Our last day open to the public will be September 29th, with a final closure date of October 15th. We will continue to service bikes and fulfill existing parts orders to the best of our ability. Stay tuned for info on where to bring your bikes for future service/warranty needs. Motorcycle sales will be discontinued shortly, and currently all bikes are priced at our cost. We will not be taking any more special orders, or booking new service appointments. Look for deep discounts on all parts and accessories that are in stock. We appreciate the support over the last 25 years, but are at the point where it’s no longer financially viable to keep the lights on. Thank you for allowing us to serve you over the years…

I think Moto International's future has been a bit in question since Dave Richardson retired. After all, Dave WAS MI.

Funny how a human can have such an effect that
the ripples are felt thousands of miles a day.

Perhaps we should send a retirement card to show he was appreciated many miles away.

An e-mail or something and we all signed it.

Just a bit of an update - closure? I took the NC in for its exhaust replaced under warranty and even went to get the replacement tire fitted. They charged me retail and no fitting for a rear tire..all good. Shame it only had 36psi in it instead of the recommended 42!

I always check tyre pressures after a new one has been fitted, car or bike.
