They only service between 09:00 and 16:30hrs Mon-Fri, not much good for the working man, offer a pick up service at £1 a mile but seam reluctant to offer it. Had a warranty claim which they dealt with quickly but can't get it in to them, have to drop it off Saturday and pick up when I can, prices seam on par with other dealers though.

Mine seemed to make it up and tried to charge £350 or thereabouts.
This made me exceedingly angry and I questioned their calculations , at which point it was reduced a shade. I still challenged it and when I returned home I researched all the guzzi book times for every workshop task and discovered that the 900 miles first service was 100 minutes book time plus fluids. So , 100 minutes or about 1.8 hours x the dealer hourly labour rate plus fluid costs will give you your bill. Just be wary and ring around unless your confident to challenge them.

Not had it done yet, but will enquire when I take or pick the bike up, changed oil at 450 miles and it took 15 mins.

Mine is very difficult impossible to change from first to second until it’s been moving for about a minute then it’s very smooth is yours a reluctant gear change when cold until warmed

Surely the first service isn't much more than oil and filters? Or am I still living in the seventies? (last time I bought. a new bike)

All the oils , engine gearbox rear axle.
Valve clearances and all the usual functionality checks , tyres etc 100 minutes is about 1.8 hours , which , as a technician myself, is sensible frankly to do a decent job. Remember the book time starts when the tech is given the keys and job card. Into the workshop , up on the ramp etc etc , do the job and back outside. 1.8 x £80 Labour rate = £144 Plus oils , 2 litres of 10w60 at 12 quid each plus gear oils etc = about 40 quid. So roughly 190 quid plus vat , you're getting close to 250 then. The next service at 6000 miles is from memory about 110 minutes unless you do some of it yourself but then the book isn't stamped and your 2 year warranty is on sticky ground. I used to be a fiat tech and the 72000 service on one of their cars was 11 or 12 hours. Multiply that by main dealer rates of 100 per hour plus parts ??? Hmmm
