I found this useful when searching for new relays.
http://www.dpguzzi.com/relay.htm You are not far from Towzatronics (Long Eaton) who sorted me out and very helpful too. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/towzatronics I've just ridden over there a couple of times for bits and bobs phone first to check someone is there) |

You can get a full set of good relays from dpguzzi cheaper than from the UK.
The Siemens ones are the dodgy type. |

Hi. Was the original questions answered? Are the relays all the same? I have a 2003 Cali Stone Touring .. cranks very slowly lately .. sometimes hear the solenoid click but won't crank at all. Charging battery hasn't fixed issue and as I read here I'm wondering if my starter relay is bad? Have noticed that the relay's Pyro Dan sells seem quite popular (and inexpensive). Was wondering if they are all the same and interchangeable on my 2003 California Stone? Also .. note that my (recent purchase) 1985 Cali II cranks pretty slow .. are the relays there the same too? Any thoughts are appreciated. |

all same. If you have Siemens change them, they were always a weak point, caused me no end of hassle on my Cali until I saw report of their weakness on another forum long time ago

I use the same Pyro Dan relays on my 1995 Cali 1100i and on my 2007 CalVin, and they are fine.

Hi - stupid question but just to confirm...I've a 1995 California 1100 (carb version). No problems currently but note the advice above about replacing Siemens relays on the 1100i (whether you have any issues or not). I've just checked behind the side panel and I have 5 Siemens relays. So I'm presuming...
1. The advice is the same for both the carb and injection models i.e. replace the Siemens relays 2. Order replacement replays from dpguzzi.com (Pyro Dan) 3. Never replaced a relay before - are they a straight push fit as with fuses? Cheers

Yes, all those Siemens relays have been known to fail. Worth changing them all. Available from several sources, Pyro Dan being one. Vehicle Wiring Products another. They just plug in.

They do if they're the right terminal orientation. I found this recently which gives a good overview of relays: |

These are all micro relays so there are no variations.
