That mayo on the engine temp sender might well be insulating it from the heat all around. This makes the ECU think the engine is cool so makes the mixture more rich. All these temp senders seem to be the same electrically, same resistance for given temparature.

Temporary slight diversion off topic, reminds me about commuting 1 & 1/4 miles each way on my Triumph 750 5 days a week. During the winter time, every Saturday I had to replace the primary chaincase oil, the 'old' always came out looking like dirty cream. |

Could be wrong part in the box never had an issue replacing mine Never had that longer one arrive instead of the short one, only differences are some have bullet connector others spade easily resolved, Top tip Don't cut the wire make a jumper male spade to female bullet and insulate it .... i keep that jumper in the wee tool kit just in case ...I also add thread tape to threads

intermotor part 50570 fits the this has spade connector the OPS 2040 has bullet connector this will go on all these V35-50-850 and 1100 motors do you need the short one ? That long one you got is the wrong switch in the box it happens, had a brake caliper delivered last year for a car right part, but different part in the box ? A search on E-Bay for OPS 2040 shows the short stubby switch ....
