You have to remember that when looking for your next bike,
That every silver lining has a cloud.  Ask me how I know.
On second thoughts, please don’t!Big smile

I don't think theres anything deliberately dodgy? Its a local to me main dealer Harley / Ducati which has been here for 25 + years, They sell on very tidy trade ins against those. Guzzis are not their normal thing and dont think they know a lot about them.  Although they did have a cali last year which sold.  Bike was traded in against a BMW R9T and has been there for quite a few months - also a sale on at the moment. I have seen on tinternet a Cali with bags / screen etc ooop north for less money, but I agree most are higher money as more recent and lower mileage. They say they will do the 6000 mile service and check out the pulling to right. Also the accompanying test rider is a long term biking friend working for the shop and I'm sure he would let me know if he had any issues. Wink

In this country these are hard bikes to sell there are few riders that have the guts to be different , the only worries I would have are tyre changing , and throttle not having cables but younger folk would not worry so much . I would love a Matt black custom Thumbs Up

Don't know where the idea of "having guts to be different" comes from when choosing to buy a bike. Sounds a bit too much like the excuse some people use for wearing leather jeans with laces down the sides!Embarrassed

Maybe the bike is OK but it is very cheap.Ermm

I see your point quite clear , but I get fed up of guzzis people always thinking eBay and cheaper bikes are always Something wrong . I sold 6 bikes in 1995 well cheap because I lost my home because I didn't I budget correctly they were bargains  lol

`Surely as long as you go in with your eyes open, the price doesn't matter.

The seller is a known trader, which means you have plenty of backup from the sale of goods legislation, so there shouldn't be any risk.

As said, the bike has been in that dealer for several months, so clearly there is no big market for it. In the end, in this country, it's the market which dictates the price.

I have this gold bar I am prepared to give away. I know it's safe to offer it like this because giving it away makes it too cheap, so I know nobody will want it. LOL
Brian.

Better 5 minutes late in this world than years early in the next.

You're not the only one to have sold bikes too cheap...set the bar too low to encourage bids and only got one. Dhooo!

I'm on me way Brian! Always happy to collect unwanted gold bars. Don't bother cleaning it up.LOL

Regarding price. I don't think it's too cheap. I sold my Touring for about that. Higher mileage but better equipped. If i wanted another 1400 I'd go for it.

V7 classic.
T'other brands .
