Hi Brian,
I may have tracked one down. Is the part number GU32703810? The shop says it is in a piaggio bag but has 2 yellow and 4 others to the connectors. Do you think this may be the right one? Thanks John Ps there was no part number on the one that come off. |

Thanks

According to the parts list, the Ducati Regulator is that part number.

Is it intended to replace the Ducati regulator, or is it being sold under the above part number?
If so it should be OK. If you have a picture of it, does it have the same number of wires and in particular, yellow wires?

Hi all again,
Regulator arrived and it is the correct one. Does it earth through the body of the regulator, if so I have put an additional lead on earthed to the engine. Does it matter what yellow goes where? as a different connector due to the melting earlier. Anyway, all fitted and I am not getting anything charging. 11.7volts is all it is putting out. What have I done wrong? Help! John |

Thanks

The two yellow wires are interchangeable.
Check all connections again. Are you getting AC from the alternator with the regulator not connected? Yes it does earth through the box. Paint on the frame can be enough to prevent a good connection.

Hi Brian,
I connected an old battery earth wire from the bolt to the engine so there is a very good earth. Yes, yellows are giving me 25v at 1200rpm. I can just hear the change in the engine when the regulator is connected. I will check all connections again on Thursday as out volunteering tomorrow. Back on the Lambretta tomorrow. Thanks John |

Do you think maybe the problem might be the connector block, I had poor connection on my lil breva causing burning I just hard wired it soldered the wires and used shrink insulator to finish.

If you mean the one between the alternator and regulator, I think that's already been replaced. If you mean another one, please be more specific as it might help him.

I'm meaning the connector block that has already been replaced, take it out of the system hard wire it and then check the output.

Hi Johnno,
Lost the will to live. Got good voltage at the alternator wires but nothing going into my battery. Absolutley lost. Checked all the connectors, all look clean. Checked all the fuses, all fine, don't know what else to look at. Looks like it will need to go to a shop, God knows what one up here. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! John |

Thanks
