Hi Guys,

I just purchased a brand V9 Bobber yesterday, drove it to home everything was fine. Just today when i took it out the engine light came on in 2min, its freaking me out. The drive seems fine but i cant be sure since i have not ridden this bike for long enough to tell the difference. Turned the bike on and off couple of times, the engine light is not going away.

This is a 2019 bobber which had been in the showroom for a while, but the mileage was zero when i bought it so it hasn't be driven at all.

I spent lot of money on this bike and its really stressing me out. Any idea what this could be and how much worried should i be?

Thank in advance for your help.

This should be under warranty.

Did you buy it from a Dealer?

Is there one in UAE?

yes, it is supposedly under warranty, i have bought it through the dealer who claims to be the official dealer of Guzzi and Aprilia.. i have not received any waranty card though, just the dealer's receipt.

but i have have some trust issues with this dealer, he told me this is 2020 model and when the registration was done it turned by 2019 model, so i dont know what else he is been hiding and why hasn't he been able to sell this particular bike last year. i got the bike for half the price though its brand new.

Tell him to fetch it back and put it right or get a refund of your money.

Certainly your first move should be to go back to the supplier.

To know exactly what the fault might be requires diagnostic kit, which they will have. All we can do is make wild guesses.

I would suggest you contact Guzzi Customer Service, but of course Italy (and particularly the north) is closed for the moment.

Hi guys,

the issue was sorted, something about the air pressure in the oil tank. I opened the lid and closed and the light went off.

thanks

I doubt umairkhan's first language is English, so be a bit patient please.

I suspect he meant the fuel tank, and that would suggest the vent pipe is blocked in some way. If enough vacuum builds up in the tank it could cause fuel starvation and bring up the light.
