Is the option of a "Comfort Seat" a tacit admission that the standard seat is not comfortable?

Re. the seat, lack of centre stand, no engine bars, etc. etc.

Just the same nonsense that plagues all new cars & bikes.

Just one of the many reasons I always buy s/hand vehicles.

Plus, I like the older stuff, as it usually has a story to tell...

In the end it's a toss up between what the manufacturer of a new bike thinks is adequate, and what previous owners of an older bike think is adequate (in terms of maintenance).
