Shame to puncture the owner's optimism, but ...
Maybe there's enough about it to dissuade the rider looking for something original, not everyone wants to buy work.
If you're a gambler it might be a lot cheaper in a month or so ...
I'd have a look, utter the Yorkshire war cry  "How much ?"  and walk away .
If he gets antzy you should walk a mile in his shoes.
Then you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes ...

I am intrigued that the pillion footrests are shifted forward a couple of inches.

Nice solution.
Bit more space especially with panniers on. More comfortable for the pillion if you can have your feet forward a wee bit. Brings them to where I have mine on G5.

Cheers

Not sure how many years they've been tying to flog this particular Le Mans but the asking price (which has always been at the eye-watering end of the scale) is gradually coming down.

I still think that they'd benefit from changing the photos that shows the bike with carbs (ot to mention a few other crucial details) but that's just me...

Not even original spec. And one of the pics is another bike ??
Just seen that my cafe racer has almost the same Reg number, it’s just one digit out. Must have been sold by the same dealer about the same time.

This bikes been mentioned a few times in the past, I did in Feb 2018 and it seems I got it wrong.

My friend contacted the owner who is, according to him, an 'absolute gent' and let's say, less than computer savvy, and had got someone to post the pictures for him, as for the price advertised the first time, that's what he was advised by some guy who was 'clued up' and ' into' Guzzi's.
The pictures were taken just as the bike  had come back from getting some work done, for the gent, who help run a motorcycle race team, to finish it off. The guy had kept it, finished off, in his back room.

When my friend told me he was going to look at it I saw the same pics as everybody else and said , "are you F*&^i$G daft?", anyway the bike, complete with fitted brand new carbs, NOS seat, and lots more to boot, will be winging it's way to him soon at a good bit less than the latest advert as the guy needed to move it on as he was about to lose his storage.

Granted it's a wee bit dusty, but it just goes to show you, you can't judge a Guzzi by it's lack of carbs!Wink

Quite a number of interesting new bikes/concepts appearing from EICMA, and this one from Husqvarna looks like it might give the V85TT a bit of market competition (if it comes to market).

https://www.adventurebikerider.com/husqvarna-norden-901/

I picked the above article at random having seen images of this bike on Instagram (links to which don't seem to work for everyone) but the 'retrunofthecaferacers' account just posted an interesting selection - https://www.instagram.com/returnofthecaferacers/

Husq' established a reputation with their previous models of staying very close indeed to concepts, when there was a strongly positive reaction to them. Amongst the other releases, the BMW18/2 concept is likely, I would imagine, to create a stir in the 'off the shelf' Bobber market. And even Harley are getting in on the ADV Bike scene. Who'dathought it?!

P.S. Fuller article from the same source here:  https://www.returnofthecaferacers.com/ride-review/eicma-2019-best-of/

Interesting potential project here for those so inclined, and with reasonably deep pockets!

P.S. Hope the link works - if it doesn't look for (and remove) the characters '%20' from the end of the url, which are (for some reason) added when I paste the (working) url into this forum. Alternately, head to www.bci.nl > bike > restoring projects (and click on the flags at top of page to change the language).

This has been hanging around for a while.  Looks a decent price for a Le Mans to me.  From a dealer too!

Rather expensive for a project bike, but I suppose if that is what you really want...............

Before getting too excited about the bike from a "dealer" take a look at the topic "Alert" about 4 further down...

Pity as it looks like a genuine bike for someone.
