On the recent break we went to the International Birds of Prey Centre near Newent Gloucester GL18 1JJ
Excellent day out 3 different flying times and many fantastic birds Speaking to them and looking at their website I found they run a "sponsored Bird programme 3 different levels £50 -£110-£500 wondered if anyone else thought it might be interesting to do a sponsorship either individually or as a group I thought a "Guzziriders.org" sponsorship might be fun quite how we administer the complimentary tickets is a minor issue but to get an update a special thread would be think fun Ideas Folks |

I do like that idea Ken and, of course, I get the eagle connection, but does it have to be an eagle? I would happily chip in what I could afford (not a lot) but would prefer to support something critically endangered or just plain unpopular/ignored. But, if it's an eagle then fair enough. I visited a similar centre in Ringwood https://libertysfalconry.com/ last week and thoroughly enjoyed it, possibly more than I enjoyed my visit to Sammy Miller's museum. I was thinking about sponsoring one of their birds, so your timing was perfect.

Well to be fair on reflection we were considering doing one each Annie liked the idea of sponsoring a Vulture as they are endangered but look on their website if you want to do an individual bird ..... there is something to be said for going the £55 route and a bird of your choosing as opposed to a "Corporate" £500 single sponsorship
For those that £55 is a bit much then get together with another member (s) and put together. Personally I have always had a thing for Eagles ..... If anyone does a sponsorship in "Guzziriders" name then pretty sure from that or any other Bird of Prey Centre it would be great to have a separate thread to follow the progress. It was just an idea as it is very easy to sponsor any animal/bird as an individual so I threw it out there |
