Can anyone please recommend a reasonably good adjustable handlebar brake lever, and matching clutch lever, for the V7 II.

I can't see how that is possible provided the cable is correctly adjusted with the right amount of free play. |

I don't have a problem with the clutch lever but with the brake. I would want the clutch lever to provide the same length of cable pull as before, but match the brake lever in looks. I have arthritis and find the reach on the brake a bit of a stretch whilst operating the twist grip. The clutch side has obviously not got a twist grip so it's not a problem. I'd like the brake lever a little closer. I do not need a lot of adjustment, on the other bike just one notch. Those levers do not fit the Guzzi. There are a lot of adjustable levers on the market, rather spoilt for choice. I need to know which do the job well.

Are the levers for the V7 and the V7II the same? Did you fit them on your V7II?

Thank you. Those appear to be these - £15 free p&p (it's the brake lever I'm having fun with - not the clutch) |

Hi All, I've heard mixed reviews about the chinese levers with some saying it made it more difficult/tiring working the clutch. Does anyone here have a comment on how the clutch action changed when using the chinese levers?

Only just seen this (or have seen before but forgotten) - interesting because I don't try to do this, I only use the brake lever when the throttle(s) are shut. Mainly I think because I can't concentrate on both at once. |

Could it be reaching for the brake while shutting the throttle? I remember doing a reaction test at a bike show many years ago. You had to shut the throttle and apply the brake. Took a long time compared to moving your foot from accellerator to brake in a car.

Nope don't see that, you just let go the twistgrip when you reach for the brake? Assuming of course it closes if you let go. |

You remember those little friction screws fitted to twistgrips?
