Knowing what a multi talented bunch you all are......here is a question about hifi!Embarrassed

I have an iPod with many, many music tracks on it, about 2,500 when I looked last. I like to play it through my analogue hifi system as well as the usb port in the car, but it is getting a bit long in the tooth and Apple have long given up on this product. Can anyone suggest a suitable replacement that would fit both situations?

Cheers, and now back to our normal programs!Thumbs Up

Just use your iPhone?
That’s what I do...still use the iPod too in car as it’s old.
iPhone blue tooth to blue tooth Motorola bud wireless headphones on the bike (in lid).
Blue tooth/WiFi to Sonos in kitchen, anologue jack to jack to amp at work.

Doesn’t have to be the latest model...the iPhone 3 was a classic, the 6 is great with reasonable size screen....though me eyes have trouble with the little writing...lol

How did you hook up the Ipod to things? USB?

For the car, you can either use an iPod connector to USB or using the headphone socket a lead with mini jacks either end.

An Apple iPod dock with a power lead, mini jack plug and twin banana plugs to the hifi amp, plus you get a small remote for the comfort of armchair listening!

I use a cheap bluetooth adaptor in the car radio with my android setup. No idea whether this is possible with apple.

FFS I’ve just about lost the will to live having watched an article on the news about a dopey bird who’s supposedly gone viral (whatever that is) on YouTube by WHISPERING!!!  Apparently this is so important that it had to be featured on BBC news at 6pm.  I friggin despair.
Yours faithfully,

I do hope that isn't a reference to that woman who's passing herself off as our Prime Minister!

For some time now I've been using a Bluetooth adapter, I have a PC which is my "media player" and plays all the audio to my system that way. The adapters came from eBay, and are really good quality. The ones I use are now discontinued tho but there are others.
