Chris, with reference to your very fine wiring diagram for the LM1. On the diagram the 12 pin connector and the 15 pin connector are both in very close proximity to the headlight shell as drawn on your diagram.

Am i to understand that either or both of the connectors should be inside the headlamp shell ?

The female part of both connectors and the three pin connector from the start/kill switch are all within the headlamp shell and the male parts of the connectors plug into them at the back of the shell.

I'm about to rewire a T3 for a friend and suggested that he obtain one of Chris's wiring diagrams to make life easier. I'm so pleased that he did. They are truly superb;well done Chris.

Chris, if the female connector is within the shell, then so must be the male part unless the male parts are half way in and half way out.

Therefore I take it that both parts must be within the shell, but at the back. Have i understood ?

When I say the female parts are within, I mean fitted from within. The female parts are fitted to the headlamp shell from within the shell and pushed into the holes in the shell so they stick out of the back of the shell. The male parts fit over them from the outside, back of the headlamp shell.

I hope that helps

Hello @Chris950S - are you still offering this service?  I swear I had one for my T3 Cali but exhaustive searches have resulted only in the emptying of the wine bottle.

What's the major differences (if it is possible to answer this question briefly) between the Cali T3 and T3 diags? My Cali T3 (for example) doesn't have that monster speedo console on it, with the plethora of indicator lights and mysterious switches. And no evidence that it might one have and been removed (o:

Hello Barry

As far as I can see from the info to hand it depends on the date of the California, Cali 1 is very similar to the T3 but by 1981 the Calli II the wiring and switches changed. What year is yours?

Best wishes Chris
