Hi
As the 850t was also known as the interceptor did moto guzzi ever put a decal on the bike anywhere, or was this just word of mouth naming??

Never seen a picture with the name on it.

I have two of the decals, new-old-stock. Never saw one on an actual 850-T though, only in photos. It was applied on the toolboxes under the 850-T emblem.

Interceptor was a US name for the 850-T - now aware that it was ever called that in the UK or Europe.

if any pictures, that would be good to see.

American model name, kind of thought that, but still although my bike I'm restoring is a European version I still fancy giving it the name.

Thanks

If you can get pics of the stickers on line the guy I would call is at visiononvinyl .....he made the "Guzziriders" decals in vinyl for inside a screen or to put onto outside /bodywork does not charge artwork look at the post regarding decals quick and efficient service, He made decals for my local Club and some customised decals for me

Hi many thanks guys, but to date I have never seen a picture of a decal.
I'm near the end if my resto paintwork is due back next week and it sure looks great in the red with gold foil pin stripping.

Shame I didn't get to see the decals as I fancied the bike having a name rather than just 850t.

Since no-one else has ever seen one, why not just go for it?

Also recommended:  https://www.isaydingdong.co.uk/ - the proprietor is a Guzzi owner, so he may be sympathetic to the request.

Thanks, I did think I could do it in the type Norton's use on the commando.
But the paint work and laquering were completed yesterday, I waited as long as possibke in the hope some one woukd reply with a picture or sonething but nobody did, so it's done now.

Perhaps there is no sticker and it's all a dream.
Ha ha

Many thanks for the assistance.

This could be it, or similar. I had the pic on my computer and I think I may also have the original blueprint somewhere. I've never seen it on an American 850T, maybe they just didn't put them on in the end.

Look at the 'continental 7' in the "part number" area, RLO, and you can reasonably deduce '74

What a treasure house IM must have!
