Hi All,

I've got a new project a 850 Le Mans (series 2 - 1977 manufacture 1978 registration) which shows its history on its shirt, so to speak.
I don't plan to change that...I like that it looks a well used bike.
But I do want to return many of the Japanese replacement parts back to original.

One question that is foxing me concerning the rear indictor light stems (if you have a set of front & rear with stems please let me know????)
I can get reproduction replacement indicators - new ones but there are 2 types of rear stem/brackets:
straight at 125mm
Angled like the Le Mans Mk2

Which is correct for a bike manufactured in 1977?
Black and gold Le Mans mk2 1981
850 Le Mans 1978

when I'm not sitting on my hands we're a work in progress.

Lots of pictures on 'net if you Google - found this one, they appear to be straight.

Thought they were, going by what I remember (but not always reliably) of magazine adverts of the time.

My LM is a series 2 which was built 1978 and registered in 1979, I bought it in 1980. It has angled rear indicator stems, lower yolk mounted front indicator stems and the double bulb rear light as used on the Spada/V50. IIRC the straight indicator stems were fitted with the humped rear mudguard/earlier T3 style rear light on the first series. Not sure if that helps.

There were definitely some angled stems for the rear indicators on some models, but I don't have the faintest idea when the change to straight ones took place.

Nik's Eurobits have some examples in their eBay store, currently: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTO-GUZZI-LEMANS-I-REAR-INDICATOR-STEM-ANGLED-/351932185431?epid=631812967&hash=item51f0cafb57:g:bdkAAOSwEzxYUBc4

Edit:   Front bracket in the same store, as it happens.

Cheers,
all the photos I've seen are at an perspective that the stems could be either...only one image have I seen that's positively angled....maybe straight on first series & angled on 2nd.
Handy to know that yours Gianni' is angled.
One of the last of the 850 series 2....

I'll go with long straight at front & angled at the back....cheers all.

Well worth posting in the 'Wanted Parts' section here - and also in the MGCGB forum (if you are a member). There's always someone who has just bought a Guzzi and who then wants to ditch the linked brakes (heel and toe controls, footboards, Guzzi emblems, etc. etc).

In such circumstances the PS12 m/cyl is ditched for an alternate.

Unless it has to be approved  by a moderator or admin, should be virtually instantaneous.

I had this problem recently on another site where the confirmation emails simply weren't getting through to me, regardless of which email address I used, Question , in the end I had to get an admin to sort it at the other end.

I've got a PS12 mastercylinder.

I took it off my '78 G5 when I bought it last year, as the brakes had been de-linked by a previous owner; I replaced it with a PS15 (how it ever passed the MOT with the PS12 I can't imagine!). I don't have the lever however as I fitted this to the PS15.

As I'll never revert to the linked system (too expensive as all the brake lines would have to be replaced), it's going spare. Yours if you want it - just PM me.
