I have read that the 2021 V85TT is Euro 5 compliant.

Just reading up on a US site. It says that the 2 additional rider modes are Sport for a more aggressive ride, and Custom (play with your own settings of throttle response, ABS, etc). And that both the TT and Travel come with panniers as standard, the Travel having larger panniers and bigger screen. Engine retuned for more low down torque and mid range.
Looks like Guzzi have addressed my concerns. The tubeless spoked rims are good, and improved low down torque well worth having. Just the price that needs fettling now...it is a touch high in such a competitive market.

Play with ABS response? What would that mean? A rather dangerous route in my opinion.

Don't know the details. Possibly On or Off ? I can turn the rear ABS off on my Africa Twin...but that's really for loose surface use. And there are various traction settings too. Front ABS is always on. ABS can be a liability off road. On my Cali 1400 (when I had one) I could play with the traction control but couldn't turn it off altogether. Maybe that applies to the V7/850? Don't know till I get to try one. I'm hoping the 850 turns out to be the bike that it appears to be. I'm a fan of the 3 variants of V7 I've ridden...the mklll being the best I thought. So, big hopes for the new bigger version. Though I still think the price is high. Funny how we get used to having ABS . But I can ride both my non ABS Guzzis without worrying about the lack it...just ride a little more cautious I guess. My ABS equipped bikes...maybe I do brake harder. Certainly did on the 1400Cali. |

Don't be trading that nice Breva in Mike! Not until you have given me first refusal anyway

I'll bear that in mind Chris. Got to say though, I'm really enjoying the big Breva. It's much better than I thought it would be, solid roadholding and a strong smooth motor. No hiccups, burps, or surging, that I've read about. Only problem is not really had the opportunity to use it much thanks to Covid. Think the longest ride was 1 tankful, circa 200 miles. Still tempted by the V85TT, and the new V7/850. Got rid of the 650Funduro, so might already have enough room
