So looks like the 2021 bikes will be tubeless, have extra riding modes and some tweaks to the fuelling! :-)

Well tubeless is a no-brainer. Extra riding modes watever that is. Does it mean you can stand up on the footpegs too? ![]() Tweaks to the fuelling, could mean almost anything knowing Guzzi. Have they got the V7 range right yet?

Looks like the V9 is getting the same engine as the new V7 too

Yes, having put all te work into developing it they are going to use it everywhere. But it does make a mockery of the V7, V85, V9 titles though. Your V7 may be good, but just look through the number pf topics on poor fuelling on the v7.

Does it mean they are both Euro 5 now?

It is quite possible that riding style (as in throttle control) may have an affect on the perceived fuelling problems. Certainly I have heard differing comments on what should be identical models.

Sound a bit frantic and dangerous having to ride flat out everywhere to get the bike to run properly! Dunno about the newer models but I do know that putting one of those oxygen sensor gadgets on my Classic made it a much more pleasant machine to ride. However I did have a short test ride on a V7111 and the old fuelling problem was not apparent.

V7 Classic Black and gold is the best colour but green & black is nice too!

Yes Bob, the Euro 4 bikes (eg. V7 III, V85TT) don't suffer the poor fuelling issues that afflicted the earlier V7's. Last time I test rode a V85TT (Sep '20) the fuelling felt absolutely spot-on.
My V7 II has always been happy when ridden hard, but not so happy when ridden gently (dare I say 'normally'?). Fix for me was to retrain the ECU with an O2 sensor adjuster, then disconnect the sensors and run open loop. MUCH smoother, controllable, safer and more satisfying to ride. |

Same here. Fuelling on my V7 ii was also an issue. Finally disconnected Lamda sensors and it was fine. Reconnected later to see what the effect would be and was still fine. Test rode a new V7iii and the fuelling was spot on but it felt more strangled somehow. Probably to do with Euro4 but could also be my imagination.

Actually I think the change in fuelling will be to alter the torque curve. The original V9 had far more low down torque than the V85 I gather, so maybe they are trying to replicate the original?

Am not sure, but the wheels are a little lighter so maybe 1 or 2 kg off what it is now! :-)
