I'm on my last 3 wires going to the regulator and rectifier and I'm stuck.. My manual show different wire codes going into those places.. the wires I have not connected is light blue, blue , red .. they are short and going to that place. Any one got a picture of the front alternator cover that would fit that year of bike. thanks and have a good new year...

Does this diagram help or is it the same as you already have?
There are other diagrams too, one of which might fit your colours better. Just scroll down and look at all the small blocks before the late 80s when the different alternator was fitted.

If it's like the other Bosch set-ups then blue & red actually connect together, in the middle of the rectifier board (the two spades are actually connected on the board, together they make the shape like — |), blue goes to the dashboard charge warning light, red is the output for the regulator. (These can be checked with a multimeter Ohms function.) The light blue wire most likely goes between rectifier and the alternator stator centre tap connection. However I have had a rectifier that does not have a connection for that, so that wire can be omitted. HTH |
